Nero Burning Rom 6 for Microsoft Windows

You can use Nero Burning ROM 6 to copy a variety of CDs using a CDR, CDRW or DVD R/RW disc. However, you must ensure that you disc you intend to copy is not protected by copyright law.

To copy your disc:

1. Click Start > All Programs > Nero > Nero StartSmart. This will launch the Nero StartSmart program (Fig. 1).

2. Next, select DVD or CD from the top, move the mouse pointer over the Copy and Backup icon at the top. The menu will change to show which copy options are available (Fig 1).

3. Now click the Copy Disc icon (Fig. 1).

4. Insert the disc you want to copy into the CD or DVD drive.

5. Select the source drive, set the writing speed and click Burn (Fig. 2)

6. Nero will now read the disc and store it temporarily on your hard drive. Once this is complete you will see a message telling you to insert a blank CD or DVD into the drive (Fig. 3).

7. After a few seconds Nero will detect the blank disc and begin copying data to it (Fig. 4)

8.  Once the burning is complete you will see a message similar to that in Fig. 5. Click OK here.

9.  On the next screen click the "Next" button (Fig. 6)

10. Finally you will see the Nero Express screen. From here you can carry out other related functions by clicking the option under "What do you want to do now?", or you can click "Exit" to finish your project. 

You now know how to copy a disc.
